An essential part of the Venus heat recovery unit is the heat exchanger, called a counterflow air heat exchanger, which heats the flow of outside air supplied to the room by the extracted indoor air via “heat transfer” and thus returns the heat back to the interior. The design of the heat exchanger ensures that the two streams do not meet and that clean air does not mix with the exhaust. The thermal efficiency of the heat exchanger is usually around 90%, the VENUS heat recovery unit unit has an efficiency of up to 93%.
